About

Did you ever know that kid growing up who simply wouldn’t do the same thing as everyone else? That was me. From the time I won my high school graduating class’ “Most Contrarian Award” to now, I’ve always had a knack for checking the receipts on commonly shared and widely accepted narratives. In my experience, I’ve found the actual truth behind them to be way more fascinating, and my primary way with engaging with my hobbies has always been through statistics.

In 2021, I left a job in marketing to co-founded Melee Stats, a premier multimedia brand for competitive Super Smash Bros., Melee, with two of my friends. Over my four years of full-time commitment to Melee Stats, I was recognized for my contributions as an esports journalist, authoring a book, and producing videos for one of the most watched Melee YouTube channels in the world.

Nowadays, I’ve taken my passion for numbers elsewhere. In May 2026, I finished my masters program for Business Analytics at Brandeis University, where I further honed technical skills in data science.1 Recently, my submission to the 2026 Brandeis Datathon covered how to use machine learning to find good betting edges, making it all the way to the finals. Though it did not win, I like to think, I found a good way to make a few more hundred bucks each March, which is the real win, when you think about it.
